News on Whirlpool SA

has entered into an agreement to sell its operations in South Africa to a group comprised of former Whirlpool executives who are passionate about our brands and the region.
This allows to focus on its European business, whilst local experts continue to grow our brands across Southern Africa. We expect the transaction to be concluded during 2019, subject to regulatory reviews and approvals.
The local team will continue producing KIC in South Africa, and will distribute KIC, Whirlpool, Indesit and Ariston in South Africa and in neighbouring countries.
The transaction will have no effect on service commitments or warrantees. Our consumers are, and will remain, our first priority.
The experience and investment of the new team will allow us to continue focusing on local market needs, and the investment is a testament to our belief in these markets and our commitment to our partners and consumers.
